CCMB Retreat 2014

One of the greatest strengths of CCMB is the synergy that emerges from our labs and the larger USC community. The Health Sciences Campus, home to several hospitals and academic departments including the full spectrum of medical and pharmacy specialties, provides a rich environment for this collaborative spirit. We have a number of events where our grad students and postdocs can come together to talk about science and socialize:

  • CCMB seminars (1 p.m. most Fridays during the academic year in the CCMB Large Conference Room)
  • USC Stem Cell seminars (9:30 a.m. most Fridays during the academic year in the Broad CIRM Center room 101)
  • Joint lab meetings
  • Thanksgiving and holiday potlucks and other annual events
  • The annual Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry Research Day

You can view the CCMB calendar of events here (or subscribe via Google/iCal/etc here). We are also on Instagram, Bluesky, Twitter, and Facebook. The USC Stem Cell calendar is here (or subscribe here).

As part of the T90/R90 training grant in Craniofacial Biology (PI: Dr. Michael Paine) that supports many of our graduate students and postdocs, staff from the NIDCR regularly visit CCMB to provide insight and advice regarding professional development for our early-career scholars. Various other organizations at USC also host professional development opportunities:
